<<Delbert, no life forms are automatons. Automatons do not err. Even
the mighty and esteemed Galt might err once in a millenium. The
constant stream of imperfect or 'mutant' genes are themselves an
important component to the great equation of life.>>

Human errors come from errors in the DNA itself, as you point out above, as it evolves into a higher state of perfection. Form time to time, the DNA must eliminate competitors using viruses as vectors. Sometimes the DNA instructs it's carrier to collaborate with other carriers of like kind to make war with an entire country of carriers of inferior DNA.

It has recently been discovered that a percentage of sperm cells only have the job of fending off subsequent invasions of sperm from another carrier. We are robots. Pavlov's dogs. Every day we are closer to being discarded. We know our futures!
