Intermagnetics General Forms Strategic Alliance with KryoTech, Inc.

Intermagnetics Commits $5 Million For 22% Stake in 'Cool Computing' Leader

LATHAM, N.Y., March 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Intermagnetics General Corporation IMG , today announced a strategic alliance with privately held
KryoTech, Inc. in which the companies will work together to pursue the emerging market opportunity for very high performance, cooled
computers. Intermagnetics will invest $5 million in transactions that combine the purchase of shares and options of KryoTech, designed to
aggregate 22 percent of the company's equity on a fully diluted basis.

Intermagnetics granted KryoTech exclusive worldwide rights to sell computer-chip-cooling equipment incorporating Intermagnetics' refrigeration
technology based products. KryoTech already has demonstrated computers that incorporate cooling systems which speed up computers by as
much as 35 percent. The strategic alliance between the two companies is initially in effect until 2005 and can be extended by mutual
agreement. Intermagnetics gained representation on the KryoTech board of directors proportionate to its equity interest in the company.
