Janice, I was just reflecting on how wonderful the salad suggestions are which you and Jane were kind enough to share. It all reminded me that last year at the Feelings thread, Penni shared a salad which really celebrates the joys of spring. I believe it was simply sliced, fresh strawberries on mixed baby greens, tossed with Knott's Berry Farm raspberry vinaigrette and slivered almonds. I do not believe there were any onions in it at all, but I tried it and found it a pure celebration of the bounty of nature even without them.
