Thanks for the reply. I can't quite understand where they are charging 7% on shorts. Perhaps it's because my net cash position was positive each day, even after subtracting the value of shorts. I'll do it again for my January statement, wherein I have a margin interest charge.

Can you take me through your calculation slowly. I really want to get this question nailed down.
