Linda, I've tried Radio Shack in the past and they didn't have this battery. I found one at a local (non-Mac) computer parts and supplies store and it only cost about $3. So you might want to try a similar approach. You can get them at CompUSA, but I believe they were something like $15.

Did you check the battery by using a voltmeter to make sure the battery wasn't outputting 3.6 volts? If not, you can bring it to a parts store and they'll no doubt be able to test it for you to see if that is your problem. It does sound like this might be it, as the same thing happened to my older IIsi and Performa 475 CPUs.
