ALRIGHT!! Just got my new CD-R Sample set for my E-Mu Sampler! I looked in my mail, and what did I see? A cd-r I ordered a week ago from an individual who makes sample sets for E-Mu Samplers. This is a lesson in why Iomega is left out in the cold. These sample sets are distributed on Cd. Why? Cost/MB. This particular Cd-R is filled with about 500MB worth of files, and I paid $42 (includes $3 shipping). It is a Sony Gold CD-R, which costs about $3 retail. The same amount of info on Zip disc would have been about $50. So, my Samples would have been $92 minimum instead of just $39. Data distribution kicks with Cd-R. Distribution is non-existent with Zip, Jaz, or any other Iomega product. This is one more reason why Zip will never be a standard.
