I dont think God punishes anyone in classical sense as portrayed by the popular perceptions of hell. I think God is ONLY about Love and Compassion. I feel that he gives that love and compassion freely to ANYONE who desires it. Those that choose to seperate themselves from Gods love are seperated from it by their own free will.

I think that the Soul's most fervent desire is to reunite itself with God. When you seperate yourself from god, you go against your souls most fervent desire. to me, that is the "punishment" one recieves for living outside of the emotions of love and compassion.

I think that ALL are acceopted into heaven. Even the most reprehensible amongst us go to heaven. The difference is that your eternal souls must live with the knowledge of the actions of your earthly body. That is the penalty for "ungodly" actions. They are more self-inflicted. I think God denies NO ONE of his love.
