Only if you beforehand belive that they were "God inspired Holy men", and thus must be absolutely correct. Otherwise it is a perfectly valid comparison.

Personally I don't consider the bible any more accurate that Nostradamus' predictions, but that is besides the point.

Now, I have read several books with interpretations of the predictions of Nostradamus over the years, and it is remarkable how frequently the interpretations change - seemingly in order to "fit" recent events.

There is a handful of his predictions that even "hard" sceptics will admit came true, but so what - Jeannie Dixon, Edgar Cayce and even Gordon Scallion got a "hit" every now and then ... which of course is easy if you just make enough predictions. The vast majority of Nostradamus' predictions can be interpreted in numerous different ways to fit a large number of events through the past few centuries, but human gullibility being what it is, there will always be a market for the latest, greatest book with an interpretation of his predictions.

It never ceases to amaze me that some people actually take all this crap seriously.
