POTENTIAL SHAREHOLDERS -- READ THIS!

Well, I now definitely know NEVER to trust SI blindly and to verify everything I read here.

Based on the comments of certain HYPSTERS (who I hope will ROT IN HELL for their obvious attempts to manipulate people to support their own greed), I checked into HDST and now can report the following:

1. The 12/97 Consumers Report article was as follows (the following is a DIRECT QUOTE of anything/everything relating to Headstrong):

We tested five bicycle helmets, some of which were introduced too late to include in our June 1997 report....

Headstrong Multi-sport Radical
Price: $20
Impact Protection: Very Good
Roll-off: Good
Venting: Poor
Straps: Good

Extended coverage at back of helmet provides more protection against backward fall. Weighs 8 ounces. No warranty, lifetime free crash replacement. Similar: Headstrong Multi-Sport (adult) $17

2. I had thought it was rather odd that a company with a #1 rating (over the major helmet makers) would have stock selling for $0.04. Now I know why. Headstrong was NOT ranked #1 as people on here have suggested. Rather, the Headstrong Multi-Sport Radical was ranked ABOVE Bell and GTI in the impact protection category and overall. But it was NOT #1 overall (and this was ONLY among the 5 helmets in the 12/97 issue which had missed the major Consumer Report testing in 6/97).

3. There was no Web site or 1-800 number listed in the article. However, on the page where it lists contacts for manufacturers of products tested in that issue, it gave the following number:

1-800-435-6381

I tried to call this number and got recording: "this number is not available from your calling area".

So apparently, the 1-800 # is valid, but couldn't reach it from Ann Arbor, Michigan.

4. I called 5 major sports and bike stores in the Ann Arbor, Michigan area (which, by the way, is not only well known for its sports teams but boasts one of the Midwest's best mountain biking trails 30 minutes away in Pinckney, Michigan). Of the NOT ONE OF THEM CARRIED A HEADSTRONG HELMET.

5. I remembered that I had read about Walmart supposedly carrying the helmets, so I called K-MART, TARGET, WALMART, MEIJER and BIG LOTS (the major stores in this area where most popular, cheap brands can be purchased). NOT ONE OF THEM CARRIED A HEADSTRONG HELMET.

I now have a significant holding of HDST. I hope that promising news will truly be released this week.

For potential shareholders, I think it is important to consider:

YES, Headstrong has a good helmet that can stack up against other major brands and is affordable. But WHERE IS IT SOLD? How can this company make a profit if all it does is ship helmets to the non-profit sector (hospitals, etc.) and then anyone who uses one, likes it and wants to purchase another CANNOT FIND ONE ANYWHERE?

I would be VERY CURIOUS to hear where all these people gallavanting around in Colorado purchased their helmets?

Well, let's hope for good news and hope that just as there is SOME TRUTH to the chat about "#1 ranking in Consumer Reports", that there is also SOME TRUTH to all the other hype which people have posted all over SI about HDST and their great helmets....

Damn, I really hope "what goes around, comes around"....
