David,

I'm fairly new to all this, so please pardon my ignorance. But I have a few questions if its ok to ask. Maybe I will learn a few things. What do you mean Gold stocks? Is that gold as in cougerance (however its spelled) coins. I heard that the banks are selling their gold and are going to have just paper backing up their money, which is pretty scary to me if it is true. Also what does APCO mean? American public companies? that is the only thing that I could think of.
As far as investing in China, I'm thinking about doing that also, since that is all I have heard of lately is how China is going to be booming in the next 5 to 10 years. I would also like to invest in Russia. I think that they will get going pretty soon also. Even though I understand that they are a big risk, I just don't belive that we (the US goverment) will let them go down the tubes. Just because they have so many natural resources and they have so many nucular weapons. I think that scares the US and the rest of the world just to think what would happen if they fell into the wrong hands.
However I'm not sure about how to get in these markets. I have started trading stocks through the net and not through a brokerage house. I got tired of them adding those high comm. and I thought this way I would keep a closer eye on my stocks. Right now I have about 75% in oil stocks and the rest in tech. and misc. stocks. I also have some mutual funds that I set up and a couple of them are international. I would like to know how to buy straight into other markets as china and Russia. Any help would be greatly appriciated.
Now you know that you are dealing with a rookie, but trying to learn. I was burned pretty bad in the early 80's and was scared to get back in. But I hope that I do better this time.
Thanks
