I will have to disagree with you in one regard on video streaming - when I had ISDN, I got acceptable performance with RealPlayer, and now that I have a cable modem, I get *great* performance with RealPlayer.
Also, keep in mind that the size of "video ads" is very, very tiny. See the ITVU ads for an example. It's laughably small. Frankly, I find it distracting and would AVOID buying products that are advertised this way.
I will agree, though, that Zulu-Tek certainly doesn't have any lock on this technology. ITVU has it, but has de-emphasized this aspect of what they do, perhaps because of the reasons I've given above. Further, in the sizes needed for banner ads, I suspect that plain-old animated GIFs, which are accessable to ANYONE, would do the job just as well. |
