Alcatel is not so light. You must add what is traded on the NYSE (ALA 600000 * 36 $) and what is traded on the paris exchange( ref 13000; today: 1000000*36*5) check at finance.yahoo.fr*P&detailed=t The two shares are linked, ALA being one fifth of the other. That's 200 million $ a day, so roughly half of asnd. It is in the Paris index so the increase calls for increase: every paris index fund manager needs to buy it. So your reasoning still apply , especially with the small number of us analysts following the stock. But ALA is not a small cap at all. And remember it is the number one company in telecom by its revenue
