To anyone who may have an answer. In april 1996 mpv made a news release that stated they had recovered a number of "coloured"
diamonds from the 5034.Valuation and hence economic potential of these diamonds had yet to be determined. I also read somewhere that they had found a "fancy". I believe that a "fancy" is slang for a gem quality coloured diamond.
Question? Does anyone know if the coloured stones value was ever
published and if so at what "price". Also have they ever found any more coloured "fancies". There is an excellent "diamond" expo
on the rex website www.rexmining.com/ .Just click on the "American Natural History" icon and work your way through. Shows how diamonds are formed, world locations, mining techniques etc. Well worth the time spent to follow thru.
