John,

Let's face it, GRNO made it to the pink sheets so that none of would be able to write it off as a total loss (cabinet trade), like, dare I say it, GIFS. I suspect that ALLN's clients had something to do with that, but that is only a guess.

I have to offer my appreciation that they have made a market in the stock and led us to perceive that there is continuing interest in saving this company and its stock.

But what we have is a case of some individuals rolling the dice on their long term faith that the company will continue as a going concern, and those requiring a tax loss but still wanting some petty cash (very petty) in return. We need to return to BB status before I can breath easier and think about averaging down my investment at these prices. (Boldfaced in the fervent hope that a Mmkr is reading this thread... :0)

As for TAVA, yeah... been following that company since September when one of our fellow GRNO shareholders turned me on to the company. Did some heavy research, followed the EXCELLENT SI thread(s) on the company and dove in with some of the remnants of our portfolio around $5-6 1/2 a share.

Been a nice ride thus far and plenty of upside in 1998 based on my analysis of the y2k sector. Basically hoping that it will bring us back to break even this year so that I can quit fussing and worrying over GRNO.

I figure its a case of Que Sera, Sera regarding GRNO. Either I'll have a nice profit from the stock as the company pulls itself out of the abyss, or it will be a tax loss at the end of 1998. Either way I admire the perserverance of BC and his staff. It hasn't been easy for ANY OF US, and we must not leave out those employees that lost their jobs due to the trading halt.

Personally, I would much rather pay the taxes since it will be a long capital gain by then and only taxed at 20%....:0)

Keep hope alive!!!!

Regards,

Ron
