Follow the news link here to the story from the day before. The company revised its first quarter earnings from a profit to a loss and the stock got killed. My understanding of this (I researched this stock so poorly!) was that most of this was due to an inventory write down caused by deteriorating refrigerant prices. Further charges were taken as the business focus shifted. The pitch to me was that all the medicine was taken, DuPont was in, and turnaround was underway.

The basis for the suit really is "when did management know the sh*t was hitting the fan AND did they sell stock before the rest of the shareholders knew??"
