Further to Starpoint Goldfields news release of March 16, 1998, the Company advises that collected samples from the Mambati target zone on the Ngayu West Concession are enroute for assay with results anticipated in approximately three weeks. Canadian geologist Gordon Richards, P.Eng., who has just returned from the field, advises that this area is the focus of around the clock, elementary hand mining by 800 - 1,000 indigenous workers, This gold is being bought by gold brokers on site, continuing the long history of gold mining on the property. Starpoint has recovered one of these high grade samples with significant visible gold. Diamonds are also being mined on the concession and sold in the village of Mambati.
