Looks like the break below 18 was not an options-related thing. Short term I am short, looking to cover at around 14. I like the company and the technology and will stay flirting with it for a long time, but there is no point to own it through thick and thin when you can make money trading it!

I am a bit fuzzy on the CBL, I thought it came in a bit behind the original target timing. Can anyone clarify?

Several good insights on this thread about competitors (Nichia, HP,etc.). It is clear that CREE will not get rich quick in the LED market, or in the blue laser market. But I think being cost driven is the way to provide capital for the materials development. Commodity parts like LED's will be dominated by the lowest cost technology.
