RA, I am not exactly calling for a breakup of Microsoft. Basically, my comment was about the other cos stocks that are going up even though their prospects are not related to MSFT's success in any way.

My guess is that breaking up MSFT doesn't make sense. Treating them like pre-breakup AT&T does make sense. If they have the key OS and browser and networking software, then their prices should be regulated. If not, then they should have to pay huge damages to the cos. they copy and then crush, like Apple, Novell and Netscape and extra taxes to the citizens they victimize.
