The competing chips offered by TI (Dallas), Analog Devices Inc. (Wilmington, Mass.) and SGS-Thomson Microelectronics (Lincoln, Mass.) implement client-side transceivers and are considered key to implementing the "splitterless" version of asymmetrical digital subscriber lines proposed earlier this year by Intel Corp., Microsoft Corp. and Compaq Computer Corp.....
