Give the man a gold star! That's as well put as I've seen. Everyone must understand that a naked short is very common in all stocks. That's how a market maker keeps liquidity in the stock as he makes a market. Where the problem comes in is when they use it to drive the stock hard into the ground and keep it there. It's to bad that this is perfectly legal and done with the blessings of the SEC. One of these days we might get rid of the market makers...just maybe.

But we must also consider that the market maker is only a symptom of the problem...the poor past performance is the problem itself. BANY needs to perform publicly. I'm ready.
