AH HA! HA! HA! HA!

ORLANDO, Fla. . -- If you thought your office network was complicated, wait until you see Microsoft's plans for your home.

The software chieftain outlined a home/small-office network plan that includes hubs and routers, multiple phone lines, Web-enabled phones, multiple monitor support, scanners, and advanced digital imaging.

Right, I can just see builders lining up to buy proprietary hardware and software for their home phones, home entertainment unit and such so they can get ensure they get screwed down the road, big-time. What a joke. Bill Gates is looking toward the future but his ancient history software architecture would have better luck in the town of Bedrock. Meet the Gates, they're the modern, Stone Age family. Let's face it, Bill Gates still thinks like a console BASIC programmer and that's never going to change. Without HTML, XML, HTTP, IIOP, TCP/IP and other open protocols, the little nerd's OS is nothing more than a fat calculator.
