Oh dear!!! I never wanted to have an unnatural dining experience at all, and as I was remarking over at the Boink thread, I have never eaten Velveeta cheese at all, either. Could we just be really honest? IS THERE ANYONE AT ALL HERE WHO LIKES VELVEETA CHEESE? There, I feel much better. It is a question I have been very curious about for some time. I hope everyone feels comfortable giving honest answers. Mock Apple Pie? I have seen that recipe on the Ritz cracker box before. It is also in my "Poor White Trash" cookbook. I know that during the Depression my own grandmother baked it, and I suspect it has always been popular when there are no apples at all and economically disadvantaged people get hungry for a big juicy pie. I must say that with all the calories and fat that Ritz crackers have, I would rather forget about MOCK apples and head straight for the lemon meringue, however. Do we have anyone here who has actually tasted this pie? Is it yummy?
