Some interesting thoughts but I think you don't have
it quite right on a number of facts.

1) You've just described MACR's fireworks as the tool that
MCRE should be working on. You need to go to MACR thread to hear more discussion on that.

2) Anyone that has followed this stock for more than 6 months knows that the current trend is typical. Remember when MCRE traded at $40, do you remember it trading at $8 last March before it hit nearly $20 in fall. The stock posted great earnings during the year but hit a bump in December because of shortfalls in the expectation of Soap. Goo was a huge success and they can't repeat that type of success. Look at BROD for a similar success failure story.

You can expect that they (MCRE) see little downside in the stock. The PE is trading at 19 for 1998 EPS estimates which I feel is very low for a growth software. The Beta is very high based on the volatility. It is truly a wonderful stock to trade as you can expect huge ammounts of movement on small changes in Net income.

By the lack of recent movement and the low price, I would not be surprised if either Adobe, MSFT or MACR had talks going.

If you read the annual report you will see that they have no great interest in the internet market directly. The are focusing on the home user and graphics profressional. The Goo and Soap and Dabler are intended to entice a youth or novice into buying the higher margin tools. They cost almost nothing to produce due to the fact they are only offering stripped down versions of their high end tools.

It is just too quiet from the company. They are such a dynamic group that something is going on, either finally a Real Time Geometry tool or a takeover or buyout.

Just wait, watch and see.

prrr,
neko

ps. This quarter won't be very exciting, but I bet they will dump some major product announcements to go with earnings and the stock will move above $10.
