<< At the time IOM was for real and it had real earnings and revenue growth >>

Yes, but if I never saw a Zip disk in my life I wouldn't have been any worse off. A measly Zip disk isn't going to shape the way the world does business, communicates, and relates. It was a nifty idea that was profitable for a while.

<< IOM was going to become the standard for all computers and it was the ole razor and razor blade story >>

Men and women have been shaving for centuries. Unless something changes men and women will be shaving for centuries to come. Men and women fell in love with zip disks for a brief period and now nobody cares.

<< ZITL was going to solve the world's y2k problem which was perceived at the time as the greatest disaster in history. >>

I told you that was fine but what happens in 2001?

<< Now that's true but what does that have to do with the price of rice in China? The internet isn't going away so therefore Yahoo is worth 4.7 billion today? I don't follow.... >>

You are the one that made the silly comparison of ZITL (a hype sham) and YHOO. I simply made the point that 2001 wasn't going to be such a good year for ZITL.

I bet it will be for YHOO...
