i have an old gateway 166 and i got the weird messages the first time. but then tried again and it went on fine. it could be the cd. they should have more than enough memory. One conflict could be the viewers - i have had that happen with other software and the system would lock up. it also sounds like the pc guru tech person you got was not to good- i hope that is the exception and not the rule. Tech support is so important with software( and can be very difficult with so many possible reasons).
