Your historical perspective is a tad short. INTC exceeded a 30 P/E in the late 80's and early 80's. As I recall the P/E was in excess of 40 in '83. This is not to say that it was a great buy on those occasions, quite the contrary. But if we are going to let history be our guide, then it pays to know all the history, right?
