micheal..that wasn't a bullish picture..cpq will drop big time if the market crashes. also, given the market staying up count on cpq starting to fall in jan. I would say that 55-60 looks good.
But, when they announce I might change that to 40-60.
Keep in mind that we prob see 80-85 before we see 45.
the hiccup at 75+ happened now it's going back up while the market is going down..this makes me nervous. the market could be tanking.
I found those numbers I was looking for. using the cpq 3q96 numbers. cpq is making 70k profit per employee..HP makes 28k profit per employee.
hp use to be in the teens so they have improved allot.
these japanese companies that people put on pedestal only make 5k profit per employee. HP called me up dozens of times to come find
out what cpq was doing. MB says what's the dif if you use employees instead of machines.
there's a big dif. $80,000 machine doesn't need benefits and doesn't want a raise and only hits the p/L with 16,000 of impact becaseu it is depreciated
