Odds are it's dead money for awhile, Mark... who knows when/if a merger is coming. there have to be companies out there that would love to have NOVL's market share and global channel? even if a suitor doesn't appear and NOVL continues to blunder along, they will be around for a long while and die a slow death. and, it seems to me they've done some significant restructuring of their business and their product lines, so there's still hope. but, as you've seen it's gonna take the street awhile to like this one again. the trend is your friend, and NOVL's short trend is nowhere and long trend is down. buying calls with these technicals is gambling big time. the only thing worse is to do what one guy last month suggested, which was buy puts and calls - he was hoping for a big move either way after last Qs results were announced (those exciting 1/8 point moves just don't add up). hope he bought lots of time.
