Dear Mark, God is love and who is banished is His business. I rejoice that I will be in His hands and not the hands of men for we see how kind and compassionate men are. Yeshua protected the woman caught in adultry and yelled at the religous men. When a prostitue came and wept at His feet and dried them with her hair the self righteous religous men condemned her and Yeshua said to Shimon, Look at this woman. Soften your heart Shimon He was saying. Somehow people get so caught up in being right (maybe because of fear as you said) that they loose the Love of God. I believe He will teach them as His own with patience and gentleness and not anger and criticism. 1 Corinthians 13 1 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels but have not love I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophesy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge and if I have faith that can move mountains but but have not love I have nothing, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames but have not love I gain nothing.
That was the importance of love to God. Next is what love is and part of who Yeshua is.
4 Love is patient, love is kind, it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It is not rude, it is not self seeking, IT IS NOT EASILY ANGERED, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects (AMEN) always trusts, always hopes, always perserveres. 8 Love never fails.
Does this define the God you know. See I know Him also, He is gentle and meek and we can all find rest to our souls in Him. The definition here is of Yeshua who was the absolute representation of the loving living God. I hope you have a good day and find joy, Nancy |
