Founder of FVHI (Lee Stein - LA) has put together THE top email developers in the country (developers of SMTP, MIME, etc.). They're developing a whole new form of interactive advertising embedded in "interactive email" - latest versions) Using very small Java applettes, email can have interactive graphics/banners that can remind a customer/prospect about new products from a recently visited site. Banners can even have an embedded scrolling order form (eg. person buys a laptop with only one battery, company sends out an email 3 weeks later notifying customer of sale on portable battery's. WAY COOL technology, but on bleading edge. When you see it, its clear that this is THE next wave of customer advertising on the Web.

But, it will only have real bottom line impact for the client company when there is sufficient market penetration of latest interactive email clients. Until then, they've got a lot of major companies attention about uniqueness of technology and approach. Question is can they stay alive long enough to be standing when the base of Interactive email users is large enough to justify company making the commitment.

They are followed by several major wire houses. If/when they get their first one or two orders, their off to the races and could be a huge LT play. Right now, they're on life support and its touch and go. Issues - when are they going to get a paying order, high burn rate, limited money and next round of financing is going to cost the principals control of the company.
