I'm no expert on these things, but I believe the company has put itself into 'play'. It has probably been talking to some investment bankers, consultants etc. who could help value ALTand find a buyer for it, so word got out on the Street and buyers jumped on board. Now the issue is where is the greatest value; I think chances are good the whole company gets sold.
