That is a good question. First debit cards; they are not used as much as credit cards, checks, or cash. Also, they are restricted in area depending on the financial institution you obtain it from. For instance, if you have a debit card on a bank in St. Louis, you probable can not use it in all the grocery stores in that city and certainly not for charging groceries in Atlanta. Also, debit cards can be expensive to use.

Credit cards can also be expensive for both the retailer and the card holder(look at the monthly interest rates and other charges). Eventhough credit cards are a large market, check writing is still preferred by individuals.

Check writing I believe is over l trillion dollars a year. The leisureway maketing system allows it to be even more acceptable no matter where you go in the US. Using the already present check verification companies, LMLAF allows money to be transferred between the checkwriter's account into the retailer's account within hours rather than days to weeks. Also, there are no bundle of checks to add, bundle and carry down to the bank everyday. Everything is done by computer.

Leisureway does not have to sell this to the public like a credit card or debit card; but rather, sell it to the individual retailer which they will be glad to accept(remeber, this is cheaper, safer and easier to use).
