Sri, I will respond later today. In the interest of huge costs to medicare and secondary insurance which effects us all we should be aware of how different hospitals and surgeons handle a certain situation. In my case (stents) I was put under anesthesia and put in the very unpleasant position of being strapped down in ICU and gagging on the instrument they use to keep you from choking on your own saliva. At CIS they insert stents while under the effect of the local anesthesia. They are getting close to an outpatient situation (my interpretation)except for having you in the hospital overnight to monitor you for possible fever or complications. J.J.
