I am attaching a message I received from VRTY with regard to their SEARCHER conference originally scheduled for Dec 3-4, but now, from the looks of this message, it is completely cancelled by Softbank.
Any body know why this happened and what is going on with VRTY lately?

Softbank postponed the conference and changed the dynamics. In doing so,
they canceled the Verity piece
Phillipe Courtot and Verity will be hosting a two day informative
seminar on December 5,6. We will cover everything from soup to nuts
including Current products and questions, Search '97 product line,
Search Personal for Microsoft Exchange and some time with Verity's
Advanced Technology Group.
This will prove extremely informative on product as well as
architecture.
