[ >where were you when the internet came out?
"came out"? I've been on the net directly since 1989, and ive been on the BBS scene since the mid 80's. ]
You mean you weren't visiting computer stores, when internet awareness and the Eggheads and whatnot popped up everywhere? You were there. Why I bet you even bought computer-related Christmas gifts for family and friends. But I bet you didn't buy many of these kinds of gifts when you were "expert" early in your field. Incidentally, Christmas is a BIG advertising season, isn't it?
Nobody's challenging your veteran's stripes, only the convenience of the logic you bring into this NETZ room.
[ >i mean think about where everyone was just 2-3 years ago regarding >internet technology.
most people were clueless about the net. most still are.]
Now, your astute knowledge of the stock market should tell you that if people are still clueless, there's tremendous growth potential here. And I'm not talking about the wife raking leaves for extra income.
[ >you do see things changing around you, do you not?
yes, there are many more clueless people on the net who simply dont have the intellectual capability to understand what the hell they are doing. example: AOL's army of perpetually newbies..]
You'll never get elected by criticizing those who you may wish to vote for you. These are real people, Other Chap, with real people instincts. Many of them have real money to spend in a very good economy that's full of advertising. You know this, of course. |
