I just spoke with Human Resources at Acer. I had emailed last week asking for information on Mr. Lair. They weren't able to give me too much, but this is what I did get.

Steve Lair's title was Senior VP of Sales and Marketing. He was employed from January 1, 1998 to February 28, 1998. I asked if he had resigned and she said she couldn't give out that information, nor was she able to give me his age.
