Depends upon whether you're short term or long term whether INTC deciding to build a 300mm rather than 200mm fab is good or bad news (for the Semi Equipment Sector in general rather than WFR specifically).

Short term, it means that about $600M to $1B worth of equipment will be deferred by at least 1 year.

Mid-term it will put increased pressure on the other chipmakers to put their 300mm plans on the front burner. This will be very positive for the equipment companies.

RE WFR: I don't expect much from their stock while 200mm is current. Any news which indicates that 300mm is coming sooner would, IMO, be positive for WFR.

Ian.
