Steve:
I buy 1000 shares also & use mkt orders. I did use limit orders for a while but have found mkt orders tend to balance out, some coming back better than expected, vice versa. Of course don't use mkt when buying a IPO, example Netscape, or you could get burned. I feel that cutting these 1/16's, one would need a really good execution broker, SOES, Watcher, etc. I will try buying with a limit order using this 1/16 method & see what happens, but as you say they might play games with you. I've been buying & selling, holding anywhere from 10 min, JBIL on HIT DAY last week-in at 33 out at 34 1/4 in 10 min, to 2 or 3 wks, at which time I usually sell because of the time factor. Dan mentioned KMAG & I was going to play it for a little dead cat bounce today, but failed to get in at the mkt open, so passed it up.
