I bought one of the canister style vacuums a couple days ago at Costco. (I forget the name - it's the new one that isn't an upright.) It was hidden on the second shelf - I had to look for it. It's great. You don't get dust out the exhaust, it keeps its power even when I sucked up leaves, etc. and it is easy to empty (no bags!). It has lots of features for the price - the cord retracts, the accessories hide away, there's a nice little handle, etc. Anyway, I was so impressed that I bought stock yesterday. The only downside for me is the low volume. I was able to put in a "stink bid" as this thread calls it without a problem. I noticed that they were in Investor's Digest last issue or the one before. Maybe they'll get some serious interest.
