Promontorio Silver Property - Sonora, Mexico

Diamond Drilling Intersects 90 Foot Zone of 14.788 oz/t Silver, 0.117 oz/t gold, 2.00% Lead and 2.84% Zinc

Following the encouraging results in the November program in the News Release dated January 8, 1998 War Eagle Mining Company has conducted a follow up program in February that included detailed mapping in the area of the open pit, diamond drilling beneath the floor of the pit, and rock chip sampling adjacent to the open pit and along cut lines.

Holes P9 and P10 were dipped at 45ø and 65ø, respectively, to test the mineral potential at depth (see attached section). Hole P9 intersected one single zone and P10 two zones. The results are as follows:
