DB you might be right. It was my impression from
what I read and from what many other analyst say in the print journals
that TI is looking for away out of the DRAM biz

You gotta admit most investors are not thrilled with DRAMs at TXN
and I don't think there will be that rebound you apperently see.

But anyhow this is all speculation anyhow... oh about my "source"
they might be BS'ng but i doubt it... but they are all former
TI'ers too, so things maybe changing faster then I know...

In either case I feel one of us will be proven out this year. Between
the move to 100Mhz buses, SLDRAM/RaMBUS/DDR, shift to 64Mb and
conintued price declines, market supply imbalances and PC prices
decreases there are going to some big shifts/changes in not only
the DRAM biz but the whole PC IC component biz... there will be
big winners and loosers... TI I think will ba winner on the DSP
side.
