Real world experience on why the local loop (POTS) is so important to connect speeds and why things...such as car tires can have an impact on your connect speed.

The last couple days a private contracting firm has been stringing a new phone cable down our road for Pac Bell, Pac Bell and their contracting crews are considered neighbors in this area...due to the time they spend out here for repairs.

Anyway, when my daughter was driving down the road they flagged her to stop...which she did...and waited there as the crew took the cable and laid it in the road...then flagged her to drive on over it. <GG>

I wonder if we'll notice the difference in service? :o
I won't be able to handle SI if it gets any slower than it is now. :o(
