<< Speaking of companies with no product and no future, has anyone thought about shorting AAPL? Seems really bloated at $26 when one considers that the entire PC sector is undergoing brutal price competition and PC stocks are dropping off like flies. Hard to see how the proprietary Mac with its tiny market share can survive in anything but niche markets. >> Although I expect AAPL to ultimately flame out, in the short run they have the potential to surprise on the upside. It's kind of like when mainframes looked dead, and then suddenly everyone who was postponing an upgrade bought a new machine. AAPL is going through that now - selling upgrades to the user base.
