You hit the nail on the head again! The reason why shows like Roseann, Beavis and Butthead, Married With Children and the Simpsons are so popular are because the general public can relate so well with their themes. I happen to like watching Married With Children and the Simpsons because the situations are so exaggerated that it is pretty funny. But Roseann? The show is obnoxious to me--all about some fat, loud mouthed broad with loser kids and no respect for anything. But you can believe there are a lot of Roseann wannabes out there--they can relate to having a sorry life, slacker kids, etc., because its like watching their own life on the small screen. Of course, it's the Republican fatcats who are responsible for their misguided lives--Billary cares about us. No sense of responsibility, for themselves, their family, or their job situation--its ALWAYS someone else's fault. The truth is, if Ted Kennedy, Charles Rangel and the crew were in total control of everything, and redistributed the wealth to the have-nots, nothing would change after a few years, because most of the distribution would get lost filtering through the bureaucracy and whatever was left, Ma and Pa would find a way to squander. Ok, I'll get off of my soap box for now. |
