Interesting thoughts Trader Dave - how about at ..oh..$100 share? Sorry, slipped into fantasy land.

The conf. call this afternoon was informative and IMO, very positive for SDTI. IDI had trailing 1997 revenues of approx. $4.5 M and internal estimates (w/out SDTI channel) had predicted conservative growth of 50-60%. That may grow due to SDTI and more closely follow the assessment and monitoring industry growth rate of 100%. IDI, according to Aberdeen, had a 12% market share in the space, behind Axent and ISS.

IDI made a distinction between their primarily systems level products and ISS's network level products. It looks like Axent's ESM and Intruder products are their main competition.

Product breakdown is 50% KSA (assessment)Windows NT, 35% KSA for Netware, and 15% for KSM (monitoring)NT. Unix is not a focus, but is supported. AS SDTI has a lot of UNIX experience, look for possible increased penetration into this space by IDI.

As per the release, IDI's products will be 'plugged' into the SecurSight suite, but will also be available as a stand alone product.

The deal may be slightly dilutive in Q1 ($0.01), but earnings neutral or accretive for the year.

With the ISS IPO soaring to the moon, it would seem this is a very nice addition to the SDTI family.
