Perhaps you'd care to elaborate. I'm looking at heavy-handed mandates such as family leave. OK, maybe family leave isn't such a bad idea, but why is it necessary for the gov. to mandate it? If it's such a great idea, then corporations would incorporate it into their benefits package in order to attract desirable employees like they do with SO many other benefits. Now, EXTENDED family leave may well soon be mandated by the gov. Where does it end? If you'll remember, family leave was passed by veto override during the Bush admin.
Did you happen to own any drug stocks when Bill and Hillary went on their socialized healthcare kick in '93/'94?
How 'bout prop 211? I've heard several California Dems come out in favor of it and NO Reps. Clinton distanced himself from the issue only because he wants to appear as a conservative in an election year.
I don't have enough time or space to get into the heavy-handed regulations YOUR Dem. Congress has inflicted on ALL businesses, small and large, over the last 40 yrs. Have you ever owned your own business?
I've seen THIS Congress TRY to pass deregulation as part of the Contract only to have it fail by filibuster or Presidential veto. So,
I guess I am looking at the record.
