The reason the report cited a massive decline in Mac revenues is because that is the reason why Adobe missed their target. Had Mac and Windows revenues both risen 18%, Adobe would have posted beautiful numbers.

And I must agree with those who argue that this bodes very poorly for Apple. My guess from those numbers is that new Mac sales are off over 20%. News of that magnitude could send the stock back to 13 in a few days or hours as AAPL has clearly been inflated artificially on bogus takeover and Jobs CEO rumors.

One really shocking thing is that AAPL's recent price rise has occurred at a time when companies like CPQ, entrenched in the lucrative PC market, are seeing their stocks hammered due to fierce price competition. What does that manner of competition do to a niche provider of more expensive boxes like Apple? My opinion is that it should be killing Apple. So why is the stock going up?! Insane speculation. Good time to go short.
