Ref:Stock Split. Radomm: Yours is certainly a valid question, but stock-split and secondary issues are mutually exclusive events and has no bearings on each other,as the former indicates confidence of management in the company, the company thinks the stock is undervalued,rewards the current stockholders as the split in essence is a dividend in stocks,helps small investors to participate in the growth of the company by affording them the stock of the company at a lower price,etc etc while the latter is a device by which the company can raise funds at a minimal cost to fund their projected growth without resorting to borrowing money at a higher cost. If you like a prediction, I fervently believe Orbital's stocks will split with in the next 6 months (even as soon as by May 98)but only if the stock price breaches the $50.00 level and sustains it and then goes on to trade between $50.00-$60.00. The total shares outstanding as of now is approx 32.3 million and with the new secondary offering it would become a total of 35 million. Hope this clarifies some your questions.
