Hi! This discussion between Mark and DCF is fabulous. A testament to the Ask God thread. I have busy for a few days and fell behind the ever growing number of posts, but I tried to read all of this sub-thread. DCF, I read Rev 12:7. I think we have linked three distinct stories: the initial fall of Satan, the Lucifer story, and the (IMHO) extremely allegorical story in Revelation. Although I would argue that they are separate and distinct "events", I think they all characterize one theme: the downfall because of hubris. Satan is too proud (or loved God too much?) to bow down to man; The (Babylonian?) king was insolent enough to place himself above God; and, the allegory of such (OK... not so distinct...).
