Sam Rather did a report on this evening's CBS news on Viagra. Said that approval is imminent, that the FDA is about to vote on approval, that the drug promises to restore male potency, that most men over 40 have some form of erectile dysfunction, that over 25 million American men are affected, but only 5% of them get treatment, that the drug has restored men who've had prostrate surgery, and that it restores men to normalcy. Mentioned side effects in some men of upset stomach and headache. Very positive report. Made it sound like a true miracle drug. I didn't get the impression, however, that CBS knew anything for sure, about whether or not it will be approved, nor when. But, it's more positive anticipation, and will add to the exuberance when approval is announced |
